This Returns and Refunds Policy explains how returns, refunds and exchanges are handled for purchases made at Cannon Hall Garden Centre and for Thyme Bistro products and services purchased through this website.

Thyme Bistro is operated by Beaumont Watson.
Thyme Bistro gift vouchers, bookings and online transactions purchased through this website are supplied and processed by Beaumont Watson trading as Thyme Bistro.
1. General Returns Policy
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return eligible items subject to the conditions below.
To be eligible for a return:
- Items must be returned within 14 days of purchase
- Items must be unused and in original condition
- Proof of purchase must be provided
We reserve the right to refuse a return if these conditions are not met.
This Returns and Refunds Policy applies to all purchases unless stated otherwise.
2. Refund Method
Refunds will be issued using the original payment method where possible.
- Card payments → refunded to the original card
- Cash payments → refunded in cash (or store credit at our discretion)
- Gift card purchases → refunded to a gift card
Mixed payments will be refunded proportionally.
3. Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned unless faulty:
- Perishable goods (plants, food items, etc.)
- Personalised or custom items
- Opened consumables (e.g. candles, food, cosmetics where applicable)
This does not affect your statutory rights.
4. Faulty or Damaged Items
If an item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Please contact us as soon as possible with proof of purchase.
5. Online Purchases (Distance Selling Regulations)
For items purchased online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, in line with UK consumer law.
- You must notify us of your intention to cancel
- Items must be returned within 14 days of cancellation
- You may be responsible for return postage costs unless the item is faulty
Refunds will be processed once the item has been returned and inspected.
6. Gift Cards
6.1 Purchasing Gift Cards
Gift cards can be purchased in-store or online (where available).
We may set minimum and maximum load values.
Online purchases of Thyme Bistro gift vouchers are supplied and fulfilled by Beaumont Watson trading as Thyme Bistro..
6.2 Using Gift Cards
Gift cards can be redeemed:
- In-store
- Within the bistro and retail areas
They cannot be used for:
- Cash withdrawals
- Third-party services unless stated
6.3 Gift Card Expiry
Gift cards expire 24 months from the date of last use.
Any remaining balance after expiry will be lost and cannot be refunded.
6.4 Gift Card Refunds
Gift cards are non-refundable once purchased.
This includes:
- Physical gift cards
- Digital/e-gift cards
If items purchased with a gift card are returned:
- Refunds will be issued to a gift card only
6.5 Lost or Stolen Gift Cards
Gift cards should be treated like cash.
We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged cards.
Replacement may be offered at our discretion with proof of purchase.
7. Fraud & Misuse
We reserve the right to refuse, cancel or block transactions where we reasonably believe:
- A product or gift card has been obtained fraudulently
- There has been misuse of our systems
- Terms have been breached
