autumn-1399396November has arrived and it’s pretty cold – there’s even some snow forecast this week!

Getting outside in the fresh, crisp air does wonders for our wellbeing, so wrap up well and get out there and enjoy your garden! Here are some of the November jobs you could be doing…

  • Clear leaves
  • Put pots on feet to prevent waterlogging
  • Plant tulip bulbs
  • Half prune roses to prevent wind rock
  • Plant winter bedding
  • Cover newly planted brassicas (bird prevention)
  • Put out bird food
  • Check winter protection – ties etc
  • Prune apple/pear
  • Harvest remaining root crops
  • Remove any heavy snow from branches to avoid breakage
  • Plant trees and shrubs, now is also the time for transplanting before the ground freezes
  • Start looking for and planning your Christmas tree!
